I feel so stressed and overwhelmed this holiday season…

It can feel so exciting leading up to the holidays; time with family, holiday traditions, making memories. But it doesn’t take long to be reminded how incredibly stressful and overwhelming the holidays can be; seemingly endless gift buying, extra cooking/baking, extra cleaning, time interacting with strained family relationships, financial stress, opportunities to overindulge, more travel, no routine, more commitments and less time. This time of year may be complicated due to a recent separation, divorce or loss, even. The holidays prove to be a challenging time for those experiencing complex emotions such as grief and sadness. The list of potential holiday stressors really does go on and on. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. You can make changes and I can help empower you to make those changes that would make the holidays more enjoyable, less stressful, and a breeze compared to years before, with online therapy.

How do I cope with holiday stress?

You don’t have to be a wound up, stress ball for the holidays. Doesn’t that sound nice? To actually enjoy your time, stay on track with all the progress you’ve made throughout the year, not take on the intense feelings of guilt and/or shame when you do happen to overindulge, processing difficult emotions rather than sweeping them under the rug, setting and maintaining important boundaries with family members. All of this is within reach, you just may need some added support with online therapy to set and reach your goals for making your life look different. Create the life you want around holiday time!

I need support during the holiday season…
